Great Southern New Silicon Valley
"To advance Taiwan's AI strategy, the National Science Council launched the 'Greater Southern New Silicon Valley Promotion Plan'. Key strategies include enhancing computing power, fostering interdisciplinary connections, attracting talent, and promoting AI applications. This initiative integrates Shalun Science City and Jiaping Semiconductor S Corridor to drive AI industrialization and support digital transformation across industries. The promotion office coordinates resources from government, academia, and industry to boost AI R&D, promote compound semiconductor applications, develop talent, and advance technologies like green ammonia, fuel cells, and smart grids. These efforts aim to achieve a balanced, resilient, and sustainable Taiwan by 2025, emphasizing broad participation aligned with national policies."
